====== Printing QR Codes for One-off Teams ======

When using one-off teams (login without registration), players need to be given physical or digital access cards. QEng provides a built-in print utility to automatically layout cards with QR codes ready for printing on standard A4 paper (or others).

===== How to Set Up and Print Cards =====

==== 1. Open the Print Setup Page ====
  * Go to your game dashboard (author section).
  * In the team management menu, select **"Print team cards"** (or visit the URL ''/game_admin/teams_print_setup.php?gid=GAME_ID'').

==== 2. Configure Grid Layout and Elements ====
On the print configuration page, you can customize the layout using the form fields:
  * **Grid Settings:** choose the number of columns and rows of cards on a single sheet, and choose the paper format (A4, A5, etc.).
  * **Card Elements:**
    * **Show team name** — prints the team name on the card (useful if you pre-assigned names).
    * **Show link** — displays a short text URL below the QR code in case the player's scanner fails.
    * **Show language** — displays the selected interface language.
  * **Team Filtering:** configure printing for a subset of teams (e.g. skip the first N teams using the ''skip'' field or limit cards using the ''limit'' field).
  * **Margins and Sizing:** adjust page margins, gaps between cards, internal padding, and font sizes.

==== 3. Start Printing ====
  * After setting up the parameters, click **"Print"** (or "Preview").
  * The engine will format the printable page.

===== Printing Tips: =====
  * In your browser print dialog (**Ctrl+P**), make sure to **disable headers and footers** (which print the page address, date, etc.) so they do not overlap with the cards.
  * Set the scale to **100%** (or "Fit to page").
  * If the cards spill over to an extra page, slightly decrease margins or gaps in the setup form.
