Section for Players

Playing takes four steps: sign up, gather a team if the game needs one, enroll in the game and enter it. After that everything happens on a single page: the task, the answer box and the hints.

Signing up

The registration works for all the game sub-domains: sign up on one of them and you log in to any of them with the same account.

Signing up: a login, an e-mail and a password — that is enough to play

Not much of it is required: a login, a password and the e-mail your password is recovered through. The phone number is not always needed — the organizers of city games ask for it so that they can reach the team out on the route.

Once you have signed up, you can already play single-player games.

Team

Team games need a team. Your own is created by giving it a name; you join somebody else's through an invitation link — the captain hands it out, and it also sits in the team information page.

Enrolling and entering the game

The game card first carries the “Enroll” button. The organizer accepts the application — by hand in some games, automatically in others — and “Enter the game” appears in its place. The button starts working once the game has begun.

The game window

Everything you need while playing is on one page: the level name and the answer box at the top, the task text below it, and under that the hints, which open on a timer or are taken by a button for a penalty.

The game window: the task, the answer box, the hints

The page never reloads: an answer leaves and comes back in place, and the “Previous answers” list remembers what has already been tried.

A wrong code and then a right one: the answer arrives on the same page

The looks are set by the author of the game: colours, fonts and images differ from game to game, but the answer box and the hints always stay where they are.

On a phone

City games are played from a phone, and the level page is built for a narrow screen: the same answer box on top, the same text underneath.
