Statistics and the Rating

The Game Statistics

The results table opens from the game card. The rows are teams, the columns are tasks; a cell holds the time it took, and next to the place stands an arrow if the team has moved since the last refresh.

Above the table, the panel:

Highlighting Teams

A click on any cell highlights the whole team — across every column at once; a second click removes it. Up to five teams can be held at a time, each in its own colour.

The highlighted ones gather as chips above the table: the colour, the name and an “×”. Hovering a chip thickens that team's rows and draws a dashed line between its cells — you can see where it was ahead and where it fell behind.

Your own team the page highlights by itself when you first open it.

If the Statistics Are Closed

The author may restrict them, and then instead of the table there will be a line explaining why:

On a Phone

The place and result columns are pinned from the start — they stay in view while the table is dragged sideways. The panel head unfolds into two lines, the menus open across the full width, and columns have to be hidden through the “Tasks” menu: there is no per-column eye on a narrow screen.

The Codes Map

The codes map shows, task by task, which team took which code. It opens from the icon in the header of a task column on the statistics page.

Until the game ends the map is closed — “The codes map is hidden until the end of the game”. The author and the admin always see it.

The columns are grouped: “Codes”, “Task bonuses”, “Through bonuses”. The legend is built from what this game actually has:

Mark What it means
code taken taken with an ordinary answer
not taken an empty outlined cell — the code was never taken
bonus in plus a plate with a “+”
penalty a plate with a “−”
through, taken outside the task the same “+”, but outlined
the same, a penalty an outlined “−”
taken, no bonus the code counted but brought no points
not answered a dashed cell — the team never got this far

The time can be shown as local or real, and at the bottom of every column stands how many teams took that code.

The Season Rating

Several of a domain's games may be gathered into a season: /ratings.php is the list of seasons, and from there the table.

A team's season total is not always all of its games:

The “Games” menu above the table lets you take a game out of the view — and the scoring is immediately recomputed without it. This changes nothing for anybody but you on this page.

A click on a cell highlights the team across every game, the same as on the statistics page.

The Review of a Game

Once the game is over, you are asked to rate it: five stars, the left half of a star is half a point, and under the stars the grade in words — from “Very, very, very bad game” to “A masterpiece”.
