How to Host a Game
On the QEng platform, you can host a game in two ways: on your own custom subdomain, or as a one-off game on a shared subdomain.
Choosing a Hosting Option
1. One-off Game without Subdomain Registration
If you only need to host one or a few games, you don't need to create a dedicated subdomain.
- The game can be hosted on the shared subdomain my.qeng.org.
- This is the easiest and fastest way to start for new authors.
2. Custom Subdomain
For regular games (e.g. for a local club or city community), it is recommended to register a dedicated subdomain (e.g. yourname.qeng.org).
- On a custom subdomain, you can set up a unique theme, menu, and payment system.
- For subdomain creation questions, contact the administrator on Telegram: OlehKuznetsov.
Financial Terms
- Subdomain creation — free.
- Hosting fee for one game is equal to the entry fee of one team for that game (capped at $20). Specifically:
- If the entry fee is $5/team, the hosting fee is $5.
- If the entry fee is $25/team, the hosting fee is capped at $20.
- If the game is free to play, the hosting fee is completely free.
- Corporate (private) games — the hosting fee is flat $20 per game.
How to Get Author Permissions
Registered users cannot create games immediately to prevent spam.
- Register on the subdomain site.
- Contact the subdomain administrator (contacts are usually at the bottom of the page or directly via Telegram).
- Provide your username on the site.
- The admin will create a game and grant you editing permissions. The game will appear in your author dashboard.
