Advanced Task Editing

This section is designed for experienced authors who want to build complex interactive levels, use dynamic templates, customize scripts, and integrate games with external sites or services.

  • Scripts and Interactive Elements — writing custom client-side JavaScript to interact with players directly on the level page.
  • Level Page Elements — what the level page is built of: how to hide or restyle its blocks and force a theme.
  • Templates — using HTML template tags to output team-specific or code-specific content dynamically.
  • Server Actions — the {! … !} marker: the server, not a script in the page, enters a code for the team; finishing the game for a team.
  • Composite Codes — a final level code assembled automatically from parts scattered across codes, bonuses and hints.
  • Player Inventory — a bag of items at the bottom of the screen and zones of application on the task picture: an item on a zone is a compound code.
  • Codes by GPS Coordinates — the code is entered by itself once the player reaches a spot on the ground: zones on the server, no target coordinates in the page.
  • QR Code Scanner in a Task — a button that turns on the camera and submits the scanned QR code as an answer.
  • Task API (External Services) — encrypting game data via Blowfish to securely interact with external servers and Telegram bots.
